Psalm 110
Sit at My Right Hand
1. A Psalm of David. 1 The Lord says to my Lord: 1 “Sit at my right hand, 1 until I make your enemies your footstool.”
2. The Lord sends forth from Zion 2 your mighty scepter. 2 Rule in the midst of your enemies!
3. Your people will offer themselves freely 3 on the day of your power,[a] 3 in holy garments;[b] 3 from the womb of the morning, 3 the dew of your youth will be yours.[c]
4. The Lord has sworn 4 and will not change his mind, 4 “You are a priest forever 4 after the order of Melchizedek.”
5. The Lord is at your right hand; 5 he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath.
6. He will execute judgment among the nations, 6 filling them with corpses; 6 he will shatter chiefs[d] 6 over the wide earth.
7. He will drink from the brook by the way; 7 therefore he will lift up his head.
